About me

From childhood I always loved to draw. I would copy from newspapers and magazines. I felt like I was only as good as a Xerox machine. My artistic desire lay dormant until 2000 when I took art lessons and continued with different instructors and online classes. Nicholas Wilton’s Art2Life CVP program inspired me to create a home studio and art practice.

My Process

I love experiementing with different art materials such as acrylics, water colors and gouache. When I start I have no idea what the painting will become. It’s always a surprise and hidden things appear. Everyone finds their own meaning in my art and that inspires me to keep creating.

Nature inspires me and I often use real leaves in my collages. I am always searching my environment inside and out for items I can use in my art in the following ways; gluing, printing, tracing and shape ideas. I love making art with my grandchildren. I continue to grow, explore and change through my art.
